If you take a look at the news, or even at your inbox, it’s pretty easy to feel powerless from all the messages of gloom and doom.

I don’t blame you. From the future of our democracy to women’s reproductive rights — it’s hard to wrap my head around how much is at stake this November. So it’s no wonder that in my conversations with folks across New Jersey, I’ve been hearing this question more and more:

“Mikie, how do you remain so optimistic?”

It might sound a bit cheesy, folks, but this team is the reason I’m so hopeful — not just about our chances this November, but about our ability to continue bringing real relief and results for families across New Jersey.

In 2018, we flipped a district that had been held by Republicans for decades. Then, we overcame a flood of GOP attack ads and outside spending another two election cycles in a row.

Those wins made it possible for us to get our economy back on track after the COVID-19 pandemic, deliver transformative legislation including the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and send billions of dollars in funding to New Jersey.

This team has only grown since then! Anyone who thinks we can’t make history again simply isn’t paying attention to our momentum.
