One week from today, March 28th, is our fearless Representative Nydia Velázquez’s birthday – will you join us to wish her a Happy Birthday?

All year long, she shows her dedication to our NY-7 communities through her tireless work in Congress. In Nydia’s last trip around the sun, she has:

🎈Secured $26 million in Federal Community Project Funding between 2023 + 2024 for local organizations and programs.

🎈Secured a $5.6 million grant for needed improvements to the BQE. 

🎈Led the Democrats’ initiatives on the House Small Business Committee to strengthen and expand financing and support for our nation’s small business owners.

🎈Introduced countless pieces of legislation to make the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, shrink executive-to-worker pay disparities, combat financial abuse related to domestic violence, fund educational initiatives that will combat hate crimes, strengthen FEMA’s ability to respond to natural disasters, protect climate refugees, and more. 

Next week, on her birthday, we want to show her how much we appreciate her fierce representation and constant fight for a more progressive future.
