Friends -

It's almost the end of March, and that means if you're anything like me you're seeing non-stop requests for money from political campaigns and organizations. And as you have likely seen, there are some striking similarities in these emails and the tactics they use:

There's the 3x match!

And even the 10x match!

Here's the thing: none of that is real. No one is matching donations. They are trying to trick people into donating. It's cynical, and it's something we're never going to do here.

But we do have very real March fundraising goals. And right now, we are very much behind where we need to be with time running out.

Almost all of the donations our campaign receives comes from people giving smaller donations — often in response to emails like this one. But that means we have to ask.

And while I don't expect you to donate to every email we send, I hope that you will contribute to this one. It's an important time for our campaign, as we approach our first FEC fundraising deadline of the election year.

With all that in mind, can you please use this link to contribute $3, or whatever you can afford today? There's no matching donation, no super-donor ready to 10x your contribution—but it will help ensure we win this Senate race in Michigan and probably the presidential campaign in the state, as well.

If you've stored your info with ActBlue, we'll process your contribution instantly:

Thank you,
