I am proud to announce the launch of the Defend and Advance campaign by Emgage Super PAC, the nation’s longest-established Muslim-led Super PAC. The campaign aims to defend elected allies who have demonstrated courage in their support for Muslim and allied communities in our shared struggle for human rights at home and abroad. At this critical moment, special attention will be paid to Congressional allies who are coming under attack for their steadfast support for Palestinian rights.
With the 2024 election fast approaching, we all have a critical role to play in protecting our democracy while demanding change to policies that violate international norms and the rule of law. Our communities are facing rising Islamophobia and an unprecedented assault against our basic freedoms, especially the freedom of speech.
Defend and Advance will prioritize incumbent allies for the upcoming 2024 primaries, as well as candidates for open or competitive seats. Our team includes experienced political, policy, and campaigns professionals who have dedicated their lives to public service. For us, it’s about principle and strategy. We must stand with those who have supported our values and our rights: those who have spoken out for human rights at home and abroad, fought against Islamophobia and hate, campaigned for racial justice, and raised their voices on behalf of the vulnerable.
