Dear Jack,
Yesterday I delivered Howard Cox's Mayoral paperwork to City Hall
and I am delighted to confirm his nomination was accepted - so we are
on the ballot!
Register for a Postal Vote
I know most of you will choose to vote in person at your local
polling station on the day but if you think there is any chance you
won't be around on polling day or you might otherwise find it
difficult then please can I encourage you to register for a Postal
Vote.
It's very quick and easy to sign up through the government website
here: https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote
It's a proven statistical reality that turnout amongst Postal
Voters is always higher than at polling stations on the day, and in an
election where every vote matters it's more important than ever that
you have your say on our city's future.
Other parties have been ruthlessly effective at signing their
supporters up for Postal Votes - and there's no reason we can't do the
same.
Campaign Action Days
Over the next few weeks, our London Assembly and Parliamentary
Candidates will be working hard on the ground to deliver leaflets and
knock on doors, but we are also holding a series of weekend campaign
action days and it would be fantastic if you could come along to show
your support.
The first two are this weekend, with details of time and meeting
point below:
Dagenham - Saturday 23rd March - 10am at Dagenham
Heathway Underground Station, RM9 5AN (parking is available at the
nearby shopping centre)
Redbridge - Sunday 24th March - 10am at Craven
Gardens Car Park, Barkingside IG6 1PS
Many thanks for your support,
Alex Wilson
