Basic UK ‘stay at home’ information is available in many languages including Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Bengali, French, Gujarati, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Urdu.
Closure of car parks, at parks and green spaces
Parks and green spaces remain open for daily exercise – as long as you do this alone, or with members of your household.
To support social distancing and people not travelling, and following reports of people congregating, car parks at parks have been closed. All play areas, tennis courts, multi-use games areas and skate parks are also closed.
New coronavirus assessment hub
The Integrated Care Centre, on New Radcliffe Street, will now care 24/7 for patients with potential coronavirus symptoms (it is now closed as a walk-in centre). The centre will provide advice over the phone, video calls and face-to-face consultations or GP home visits when appropriate.
The service is only for people who have coronavirus symptoms and are unwell, but do not need emergency care. Access to the service is via your GP or after contacting NHS 111. When contacting 111 go online first, www.111.nhs.uk
GP practices are open and can be contacted over the phone or online.
Hospital visiting suspended
Following a national decision taken by NHS England to suspend hospital visiting all visits at the four Pennine Acute Hospitals Trust sites is now suspended.
This includes: North Manchester General Hospital, Fairfield Hospital, Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary, and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.
