John,

Today's the day. Today's the day we celebrate the
movement. Today's the day we honor those who have come before
us. Today's the day we remember those we have lost.
Today's the day-- International Transgender Day of Visibility.

Eleven years ago, #TDOV began because of the lack of recognition of
the transgender community. Now, we use this special day to celebrate
transgender people and raise awareness of discrimination faced by
trans people. We have made incredible progress, but with any fight,
there are setbacks.

It's our mission to protect and advocate for transgender people.
Can you help us accomplish our goals by donating $31, or whatever you
can, today?

Last night, on the eve of our special day and amid the coronavirus
pandemic, Idaho's Governor signed two pieces of anti-trans
legislation into law, banning transgender kids from participating in
sports and banning transgender people from being able to update their
birth certificates. We had staff on-the-ground fighting in Idaho for
weeks. This is a devastating loss for our community.

We are not done fighting-in Idaho or anywhere else. We will not
let anti-trans extremists get away with this or any attacks on trans
rights. We will not stop until all trans people have full
equality-especially not today. Because today is the day we all
recommit to the global mission of equality for all transgender people.
Will you contribute $31, or whatever you can today, to help us
continue to protect and advocate for transgender people?

And if you are able, please consider making it a monthly gift. There
are six more states with anti-trans bills that have not officially
ended their sessions for the year. A monthly donation ensures we can
sustain the fight moving forward.

Thank you for your support and your advocacy for trans rights. Your
voice matters. In addition to donating, please show your solidarity
with the trans community by sharing the trans pride flag on your
social media profiles from March 31 - April 4 to honor
#TransVisibilityWeek.

With you by our side, I am confident we will defeat the anti-trans
extremists. Even when we lose, it is an opportunity to fight back and
show that we will not back down. Thank you again.

In Solidarity,

Mara Keisling

P.S. Today is also a great day to reach out to your representatives to
ensure trans people are included in any additional upcoming
legislation regarding COVID-19.
