Last month Alabama's Supreme Court ruled that embryos created through in vitro fertilization (IVF) are considered children. Now legislation across multiple states threatens to severely restrict access to IVF treatments and even criminalize certain forms of birth control.

Health care decisions are personal and should remain between women and their doctors. Banning reproductive care and robbing women and families of their freedoms does NOT align with the beliefs of the majority of Americans — including most Granite Staters.

While my extreme opponents would vote for a national abortion ban, I remain a proud member of the Pro-Choice Caucus. I will never stop fighting to protect and expand the right for women to make their own health care decisions.
