I wanted you to be the first to hear – we’ve just successfully REMOVED another state from the disastrous, right-wing campaign to tear away our constitutional rights in an Article V Convention.

That’s right, the billionaire donors who want to write their extreme agenda into our Constitution are now one state further away from their goal. And this couldn’t have happened without your support.

Common Cause New York members spoke out loud and clear – flooding the Assembly with more than 600 calls and letters urging them to END the state’s support for an Article V Convention.

John, I’m writing to you from New York, but I know that this win was only possible because Common Cause members like you across the country stepped up. When we work together, what we can accomplish is extraordinary.

And I’m glad we spoke out, because letting the political extremists who support Article V impose their will on the entire country – impacting issues like abortion, labor rights, and the environment – would be nothing short of disastrous.

I know that together – with your civil rights and mine at stake – we won’t let it happen. I’m so glad you’re in this fight with us.
