In their Ahead of Print article, Kara Zivin of the University of Michigan and coauthors examine nationwide trends in perinatal mood and anxiety disorder ([link removed] ) (PMAD) diagnoses among privately insured people between 2008–20.

They determine that during this period, diagnoses increased by 93.3 percent, with people in all age, race/ethnicity, and geographic categories experiencing growth between the pre- and post-ACA era.

Black people saw the largest increase (55 percent) during the study period.
