After California Republicans EXPOSED Gavin Newsom, he’s now experiencing “one of the worst months of his political career,” according to the New York Post <[link removed]>.



As Senate Republican Leader, I led the opposition campaign against Proposition 1, wrote the main ballot argument against it <[link removed]>, and penned an op-ed <[link removed]> in the San Diego-Union Tribune. Meanwhile, Gavin Newsom raised $20 million to support Prop 1, which is nothing but a cash grab for his Administration that won’t help the homeless.



Now, Prop 1 is on the verge of failure. I don’t blame Californians for not trusting Newsom <[link removed]> to spend even more on homelessness, he’s already wasted $22 billion propelling the crisis. Prop 1 is a major embarrassment to Newsom's political career.



Since his Prop 1 flop, an embarrassed Gavin Newsom canceled his State of the State speech this week. He’s hiding from the public and manipulating constitutional requirements to suit his political agenda. Californians deserve better leadership.
