Hi John, it’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
I’m about to ask you to split a $27 donation between my friend Rep. Maxwell Frost’s campaign and mine. But first, I’ll tell you how he’s changing the organizing game – and why that matters so much in this moment. >>
As the two youngest members of Congress, Maxwell and I know that the same old organizing tactics won’t deliver a new generation of voters.
If we want to reach young people and get them involved before the far-right does, we need to get creative – and that’s exactly what Maxwell is doing.
Earlier this month, I teamed up with Maxwell as a headliner for his new Music and Arts Festival, MadSoul Fest. In just one day, the MadSoul team welcomed 3,000 guests and registered hundreds of voters, all ahead of this year's elections.
Rep. Greg Casar, Rep. Maxwell Frost, International President of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO Sara Nelson, and AOC at MadSoul Festival.
This is just ONE way Maxwell is doing things differently. He’s organizing year-round at concerts, college campuses, and outreach events. And the results speak for themselves – not just in the news, but at the ballot box, too.
But Maxwell needs grassroots support to KEEP expanding his reach to young people everywhere. And frankly, he’s facing his first end-of-quarter deadline since announcing he’s running for re-election. His doubters will be watching like hawks to see if this movement is really as powerful as we say. That’s where you come in:
I told Maxwell I’d help him raise $10,000 today to fund his year-round organizing efforts so he can build an unstoppable youth-powered movement. Can you split a donation of $27 between Maxwell’s campaign and mine right now? >>
Thank you,
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
