Today, I'm incredibly proud to announce that 14 projects I championed through my work in Congress will receive $10.9 million in total funding from the appropriations process.
These projects include:
- $963,000 for the E.N.O.U.G.H Anti-Violence Program & S.T.A.N.D. Mental and Physical Health Initiative (CJS)
- $185,000 for the I Can Make a Difference Initiative – Alternative to Gang/Crime (CJS)
- $963,000 for the Project ECHO (Empowering Communities through Healing and Opportunities (CJS)
- $500,000 for the Avenue M Facilities Construction and Renovation (THUD)
- $1,616,279 for the Brooklyn Condominium Conversion Program (THUD)
- $358,407 for the CB17 Housing Committee Shower Bus (THUD)
- $975,000 for the Client Hub Improvement (THUD)
- $149,000 for the Community Food Bank (THUD)
- $100,000 for the Community Food Bank and Workforce Training Center (THUD)
- $500,000 for the Home Delivered Meals Program (THUD)
- $575,000 for the Newkirk Plaza Storefront Improvement (THUD)
- $500,000 for the Parent Support and Resource Center (THUD)
- $2,500,000 for the Permanent Community Food Hub (THUD)
- $1,000,000 for the Preston Court Food Warehouse Capital Improvements (THUD)
These investments will not only grow Brooklyn's economy, but make a real difference in the lives of so many in our community as well. I am proud to have fought for funding that will make New York's 9th District healthier, safer, and stronger.
