Rishi Sunak might have bottled a May General Election, but he can’t stop people across England having their say in the local elections on 2nd May.

I launched our campaign in Hertfordshire today with a simple message to the Prime Minister: his time is running out.

The British people have had enough of being let down and taken for granted by this Conservative Government.

Even Tory MPs know it. One said at the weekend:

“The public has decided, with some justification, that the Conservatives are out of touch, out of ideas, out of control and out of time.”

I couldn’t agree more. They’ve got to go.

And it’s our job to get them out. Because our country desperately needs real change – from the NHS to the cost-of-living crisis to the environment to our whole political system.

Since Christmas, Liberal Democrats have already knocked on a million doors. We’ve heard how so many people across the country are switching to us – lifelong Conservatives fed up with the Government, and lifelong Labour voters fed up with being taken for granted locally.

We have a huge opportunity on 2nd May and at the General Election – whenever it comes.

With your help, we can elect many more brilliant Liberal Democrats to be strong local champions for their communities and fight for the fair deal the British people deserve.
