Every year the Evening with Labor Awards honor outstanding leaders in the DC region's labor movement who have gone above and beyond to support our union movement and union members.

Nominations for this year's awards were open from January until early March, and all of the nominations submitted this year reflect a leader-full movement that is powerful, connected, and growing.

Today we are proud to announce the Evening with Labor 2024 Awardees:

  • The Thomas Bradley Community Service Award:

  • Golden Picket Award:

  • Outstanding Citizen and Outstanding Ally Award:

  • Joslyn N. Williams Vanguard Award:
    Dena Briscoe, APWU Local 140

  • J.C. Turner Award for Outstanding Trade Unionist of the Year:
    Emiliana Sparaco, National Field Director, NPEU/IFPTE Local 70
