Last night was another important victory for our pro-Israel movement.
All 17 AIPAC-endorsed candidates — eight Democrats and nine Republicans — advanced in key primaries in Illinois and Ohio, an important step forward in ensuring that Congress remains pro-Israel in 2025.
With two races still to be called, AIPAC-backed candidates have advanced to the general election in every district where we had endorsed a candidate (click here to see all 97 winners). This is a powerful testament to the strength of our community.
Together, we are clearly demonstrating that being pro-Israel is good policy and good politics. Our work is even more essential now as the war in Israel continues and anti-Israel extremists attempt to undermine the U.S.-Israel alliance.
In addition to helping support pro-Israel friends, we are taking the fight directly to the anti-Israel fringe.
The AIPAC-backed super PAC United Democracy Project (UDP) helped defeat anti-Israel candidate Kina Collins in Illinois. Collins has called the war in Gaza a “genocide” and applauded the “ceasefire now” resolution introduced by Reps. Cori Bush, Delia Ramirez, Summer Lee and Andre Carson. She has previously been endorsed by Justice Democrats, the group behind AOC and the Squad. We were proud to help ensure Collins lost her primary bid.
Our fight is far from over. We must continue to ensure our allies have the resources they need to win, especially as they are attacked by anti-Israel protesters.
Detractors of the U.S.-Israel relationship are not taking this election lying down. They are mobilizing their supporters and resources to oppose our movement, already pledging a seven-figure campaign to defeat AIPAC-backed pro-Israel candidates.
We must ensure they do not succeed. Your support of pro-Israel candidates will be vital to our continued success in the weeks and months to come.
Thank you for standing with AIPAC and the U.S.-Israel relationship, and I look forward to keeping you updated about additional key races in the coming months.
Sincerely,
Stephen Knable Mid-Atlantic Regional Political Director
