Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has a new vaccine book out. How far do you think we get until we uncover the first five lies in his Vax-Unvax Let the Science Speak book?

[link removed] With Brian Hooker ( [link removed] ) as a ghost writer co-writer, the guy who pushed the CDC Whistleblower story ( [link removed] ) , a foreword by Del Bigtree ( [link removed] ) , Robert F. Kennedy, Jr ( [link removed] ) 's latest book from Skyhorse Publishing has all of the elements of a great book for anti-vaccine folks!

I'm guessing it won't take long...

And it didn't...

> “In the 1940s, children received the DPT (diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus) and smallpox vaccines; in the 1950s, children started receiving the polio vaccine; and by the late 1960s, children also received the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines.”

As most folks know, if you look at historical immunization schedules ( [link removed] ) , you can easily see that children routinely got many more than just the DPT and smallpox vaccines.

Of course though, if they are going to make you think vaccines are bad, then they are going to have to gaslight you into thinking that you didn't get that many vaccines when you were a kid.

And then they are going to make you think our kids get too many vaccines ( [link removed] ) !

Of course, it is easy to see that the vaccine schedule didn't change all that much after the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act.

[link removed] It is a common anti-vax talking point ( [link removed] ) that the immunization schedule ( [link removed] ) ballooned in 1986, with passage of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act ( [link removed] ) .

It certainly didn't explode or multiply as much as these folks what you to think.

What changed?

Over the next twenty years, we did get Varivax (1996), the hepatitis A vaccine (1996), Prevnar (2000), Flumist (2004), Menactra (2005), Tdap (2006), RotaTeq (2006), and Gardasil (2006), so only three new shots for younger children.

Kids don't get 73 shots...

[link removed] Believe it or not, Kennedy now says kids get 100 shots! How? I guess he is counting yearly COVID vaccines that kids don't get... How many shots do kids really get? Considering that many are yearly flu shots, it is around 57 (with COVID vaccines) for protection against 18 different vaccine-preventable diseases.

To get to 73 shots ( [link removed] ) , these folks boost the count to make it look scarier by counting the DTaP, MMR, and Tdap vaccines as three separate shots each, even though they aren’t available as individual vaccines anymore.

Although Kennedy ( [link removed] ) won't tell you about them, there have been:

* long-term studies on vaccine safety ( [link removed] )

* studies that look for long-term health problems ( [link removed] )

* studies in which vaccines are tested together ( [link removed] )

* double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized clinical trials ( [link removed] )

* double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized clinical trials that use saline placebos ( [link removed] )

* studies with vaccinated vs unvaccinated kids ( [link removed] )

Studies that show that vaccines are safe, with few risks.

> “Despite Dr. Fauci’s warning, FDA clinical safety studies generally last for a relatively short duration, precluding the detection of long-term health effects. For example, researchers monitored vaccine recipients in the Engerix-B (hepatitis B) clinic trial for adverse events for only four days after injection. Similarly, researchers monitored vaccine recipients in the Infanrix (DTaP) clinical trial for adverse events for only four days after injection.”

So I got to top of the third page when I hit the fifth lie...

While the package insert ( [link removed] ) lists the "Data on solicited local reactions and general adverse reactions were collected by parents using standardized diary cards for 4 consecutive days following each vaccine dose," there is plenty of evidence that these vaccines were tested for more than four days ( [link removed] ) .

The old myth that vaccines are only tested for 4 days...

Fact Checking Vax-Unvax - Let the Science Speak Book

It shouldn't be a surprise that a book by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr ( [link removed] ) is full of anti-vaccine talking points ( [link removed] ) .

[link removed] Kennedy walked away when asked if children should get an MMR vaccine ( [link removed] ) , even as we are starting to see more and more cases of measles around the world.

It's been nearly 20 years since his "error-laced" Deadly Immunity expose about vaccines and autism was retracted in Rolling Stone.

And instead of stopping then, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. ( [link removed] ) double-downed and moved from just talking about thimerosal and autism ( [link removed] ) to joining the all vaccines are bad side of the anti-vaccine world, although of course, he isn't really anti-vaccine ( [link removed] ) .

That he chose a study survey that was retracted - the Mawson study survey ( [link removed] ) - for chapter two of Vax-Unvax says all you need to know about him and this book. There is also the fact that he left out all of the vaccinated vs unvaccinated studies ( [link removed] ) that didn't fit his narrative!

Want to fact check the chapters on Thimerosal ( [link removed] ) , live virus vaccines ( [link removed] ) , HPV vaccines ( [link removed] ) , vaccines and gulf war illness ( [link removed] ) , flu vaccines ( [link removed] ) , DTP vaccines ( [link removed] ) , hepatitis B vaccines ( [link removed] ) , COVID-19 vaccines ( [link removed] ) , or vaccines in pregnancy ( [link removed] ) ?
