Dear NRCAT supporters,

NRCAT is excited to share that we’ve been selected to receive a $1 million gift as an awardee of the Yield Giving Open Call. The Open Call is supporting organizations that "advance the voices and opportunities of individuals and families of meager or modest means" in communities across the country.

Established by philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, Yield Giving has awarded gifts to over 1,900 non-profits. The Open Call received 6,353 applications and initially planned for 250 awards of $1 million each, though in light of the incredible work of these organizations, the donor team decided to expand it. NRCAT is grateful to be one of the recipients!

This gift provides a needed financial boost for the coming years as NRCAT builds the leadership of solitary survivors and faith allies in programs focused on healing, educational opportunities, advocacy, networking, and coalition building. Just as importantly, it represents national recognition that the torture of solitary confinement is a critical and urgent public health crisis affecting communities of color and people in need in nearly every community in the U.S.

Along with your ongoing support, NRCAT is now one step closer to outlasting the prisons in this generational fight to end torture.

Sincerely,

The NRCAT Team
Ron, Johnny, Laura, T.C., Michael
