Dear Friends,
Today, I want to take a moment to talk to you about the 2020 Census – and remind you that tomorrow, April 1st is your last day to be counted.
As you may know, the census happens only once every ten years. It’s an opportunity to count every single person living in this country and make sure that federal dollars and resources are distributed where they’re needed most.
The truth is, filling out your census questionnaire is quick and easy. In fact, it takes less than 10 minutes to do, and can be done from a computer or smartphone by clicking here. You can also choose to complete your questionnaire by phone by calling 844-330-2020.
The data collected from the census is used by the government make important decisions about where to distribute federal dollars. This means that by filling out your questionnaire, you can help redirect more funding to fire stations, schools, clinics, and public services in your very own community. And best of all – your personal information is kept completely safe. That means that this information will never be shared with any government or law enforcement agency.
So don’t delay – fill out your census questionnaire by tomorrow and make sure that you are counted.
If you want to share your thoughts about an issue that’s important to you, you can send me an email any time using the form on my Senate website. You can also follow me on Facebook and Twitter. I look forward to hearing from you.
