Friends,
Every year, Women’s History Month serves as an opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come in the fight for gender equality and reproductive freedom — and as a reminder of how much work we have left to do.
I’m grateful for some of the extraordinary women in my life who’ve made me who I am today.

Women like my grandmother, Mattie Brown, who no matter what, always fought to make sure I had everything I needed. If there was anything my parents couldn’t provide, she would always fill in. Her dedication to our family inspires me every day.
Or my mother, who graduated high school as the valedictorian of one of the last segregated high schools. But in the South, there wasn't a clear path for her after graduation. She found opportunity in DC: working at the FBI, earning teaching and counseling degrees, and serving in public schools for thirty years. I am so proud to be her daughter.

While Women’s History Month serves as an opportunity to celebrate trailblazing women and reflect on how far our country has come in the fight for gender equality — our work is nowhere near finished.
Extremist Republicans are trying to turn back the clock on all the progress we’ve made. But if we come together, we can build a better future for women everywhere.
We have to protect access to reproductive healthcare, expand childcare, eliminate the wage gap, and so much more. That’s what’s at stake in this election, and that’s why I’m in this fight.
I’m so proud to have you by my side and together, I know we’ll get the job done. Happy Women’s History Month!
Janelle
P.S. I’m ready to fight for every woman across Oregon and the country in Congress, but I need your help to get there. If you’re able, will you pitch in $3 to my campaign today?
