Here are some recent updates.
* The U.S. Supreme Court issued opinions this morning, but did not issue a ruling in the case ([link removed]) against South Carolina’s congressional map. South Carolina asked the Court to rule by Jan. 1, 2024 so the state could have ample time before the election to draw new districts if needed.
+ A three-judge panel struck down South Carolina's map last year for racial gerrymandering. Earlier this month, state Republicans asked ([link removed]) a lower court to allow the current map to remain in place for November, saying it's now too close to the election to enact new districts.
* Former President Donald Trump filed ([link removed]) his opening brief in the immunity case before the Supreme Court, maintaining that a "former President enjoys absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for his official acts."
* It’s primary day in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Kansas and Ohio! Visit vote.org if you live in any of these states and want more information.
* The Republican National Committee filed ([link removed]) a new lawsuit yesterday over Nevada's voter rolls, bringing the total number of active election lawsuits where the RNC is a plaintiff to seven cases in five states. Find the filings for these lawsuits and nearly 700 others on our website ([link removed]) .
* Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) signed ([link removed]) three election bills into law. The laws make it easier to register to vote, help prevent delays in statewide election certification and allow counties to pilot new programs for signature verification.
* Republican groups are investing ([link removed]) eight figures to encourage their voters in Pennsylvania to vote by mail, yet Republican anti-voting forces have filed ([link removed]) 10 cases targeting the practice in the Keystone State since 2021.

Here’s what’s coming up tomorrow.
* At 4:30 p.m. EDT, a federal court in Montana ([link removed]) will hold a hearing in a case challenging a law that penalizes voters who remain registered in another jurisdiction and fail to provide previous registration information when registering to vote in Montana.
