As you may know, this is a crucial case that could potentially hold the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) accountable for unlawfully endangering the lives of women and adolescents and killing unborn children. The Court will determine whether the FDA’s 2016 and 2021 actions to deregulate chemical abortion drugs were unlawful. We hold that these actions were unlawful, and that the Court should reinstate essential health and safety safeguards for women and adolescents seeking the drugs. This would be a HUGE victory for the pro-life movement and all who care about women’s health!
AUL filed two court briefs in this case, one of them on behalf of 145 Members of Congress. In this brief, AUL urged the Court to hold that the FDA’s actions were unlawful and reestablish commonsense health and safety safeguards, such as in-person dispensing of the drugs and an in-person follow-up visit to ensure a woman has not suffered complications or retained fetal remains.
