Over the past few months, we’ve been keeping you updated on Scott’s work to combat the cross-border wastewater pollution in the Tijuana River Valley (TRV).
Just last week, Scott took to the House floor once again to demand the funds necessary to address this major public health and environmental disaster. Thanks to his efforts, Congress passed a spending package that includes
$35 million in funding for critical water infrastructure upgrades in our region.
This is a huge victory –
but there’s still more work to be done to solve this crisis once and for all.

The raw sewage, industrial waste, and other pollutants flowing from the TRV have contaminated San Diego’s coastal waters for years.
Air and water pollution are sickening our communities, harming our local businesses and tourism industry, endangering marine wildlife, and threatening the long-term health of servicemembers stationed here.
Researchers and experts agree that this is an urgent public health and environmental crisis – and one that is quickly worsening.
Scott is bringing relief to our communities, and we must stand with him as he continues to work toward long-term, far-reaching solutions. Add your name here →
Thanks for your support, as always.
