My name is Katherine Clark, and I proudly serve Massachusetts’ 5th district in Congress. I am also in House leadership serving as the Democratic Whip. It wasn’t too long ago when there were hardly any women serving in Congress at all. When I first came to Congress in 2013, I was stopped and mistaken for someone’s spouse (multiple times), making it difficult to even get into the Chamber to cast a vote. Fast forward to today, and thankfully, things have improved. There are more women serving in Congress than ever before — 94 women in the House Democratic Caucus alone! But our work is far from over. This election, there’s so much at stake for women. While House Democrats continue to fight for reproductive freedom, Donald Trump brags about overturning Roe, and has promised to lead the charge to ban abortion nationwide. We cannot afford to let their extreme MAGA agenda win — for our freedoms, our families, or our futures.
Thank you for your support! I hope you take some time this month to reflect on our achievements, celebrate the women in your life, and recommit to building a stronger, more inclusive America. All my best, — Katherine Representative Katherine Clark |
