John—Last week, Donald Trump said there would be a “bloodbath” in our nation if he doesn’t win in November.

No matter how hard Republicans try, there is no way to spin this. Nothing is more un-American or counter to the basic principles of democracy than Trump’s vision for our country—but you’ll never hear a word about it from Mike Lawler.

As someone who nearly died on January 6th, this is personal to me. If Mike Lawler can’t call out Donald Trump for opposing the peaceful transfer of power, he doesn’t belong in Congress.

But with political pundits across the country calling our race a “toss-up” and key to retaking the House this November, we have a tough fight ahead. It’s going to take a massive, concerted movement to flip NY-17, retake our House majority, and stop a complete MAGA takeover. I need your help to get it done.

-Earlier this month, he defunded the police, voting for $1 billion in cuts to the Justice Department, the FBI, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms;
-He supports the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which was the basis for the Alabama Supreme Court’s outrageous ruling criminalizing IVF;
-And he—again—caved to Donald Trump’s demands and opposed a bipartisan border security deal in the Senate to address the crisis at the border—an issue the Congressman has been kicking and screaming about for over a year.

New Yorkers deserve better than Mike Lawler representing them in Congress.
