As we have all welcomed the sacred month of Ramadan, we are very much aware of the political climate facing British Muslims today.

MCB together with more than 50 other civil society organisations, has co-signed an open letter to the UK government, voicing concerns about proposals that could undermine freedom of expression and assembly.

The letter specifically targets the 'Defending Democracy Policing Protocol,' condemning possible limitations on the right to protest and emphasising the significance of these essential liberties in a democratic society.
