John,
In Texas, the biggest problem for Democrats is not voter registration — it’s voter turnout.
Across the state, hundreds of thousands of registered voters—who would vote Democrat if they went to the polls—decide not to vote. These voters far exceed the margin between Beto O’Rourke and Greg Abbott in 2022, or the margin between Joe Biden and Donald Trump in 2020. It’s the margin that could change everything.
In Dallas, alone, we’ve identified 180,000 voters who are “strong Democrats” but did not vote in 2020.
Our Dallas campaign is developing incredible synergy with grassroots community organizations. Young people, progressive organizations, labor unions, criminal justice reform groups, and more are supporting our effort. We’ve already spoken to tens of thousands of Dallas residents and gathered ten thousand signatures for our ballot measure campaign.
We’re doing this all with November in mind. And with those 180,000 voters in our hearts. We know that if they get involved, everything could change.
Please support our work to inspire voters across the Texas. Every donation matters.
With gratitude,
Julie Oliver
