Hello ,

Please join us for the last free workshop in our Winter Workshop Series on the Modes of Exchange.

In our work in social change we often find that creating good strategy necessitates an understanding of history as well as an understanding of the conditions in which our campaigns, our projects, and our events are happening. Furthermore, to effectively address and overcome the landmark crises of the 21st-century, whether in climate, politics, and the economy, a deep understanding of their root causes is essential. In order to have this deep understanding, we need a new tradition of frameworks that can allow us to analyze the world and the moment we are in.

We believe that the modes of exchange are an essential contribution toward that end. This framework has deeply informed the work, political analysis, and orientation around our work at Ayni, which is why we want to share it with you.

The Modes of Exchange workshop is an introductory workshop of a new revolutionary political economy framework that can help you and your organization better understand the patterns, structures, and dynamics of global history. Inspired by the work of Japanese philosopher Kojin Karatani, the Modes of Exchange framework offers a radical re-interpretation of history from the point of view of modes of exchange, or the dominant ways in which humans have interacted with each other and between communities throughout human history. In order to understand our current underlying social, political, and economic historical formation, we must first understand the structure of history, and we believe this framework is key towards fulfilling that purpose.

If you have ever felt the need for yourself or your organization to deeply understand the current political, social, and economic foundations of our current system, as well as its weaknesses, this workshop is for you! Join us.

In reciprocity,

The Ayni Team

P.S. - If you haven't already heard, we are hosting a big celebration to inaugurate our new training center and celebrate our 11 year Ayniversary!
