“…. that’s where all these communist secretaries of state who try to rig our elections, they belong in jail for election interference…” - Laura Loomer

It’s an outrageous, and even dangerous, statement . This is a person with a large audience and a lot of influence.

Let’s be completely clear: Secretaries of State do not “rig” elections - and they certainly shouldn’t be imprisoned for doing their jobs.

What she calls “election interference” is the faithful work by Secretaries of State, from both political parties, to follow the rule of law and protect our democracy.

I have been working hard, on a national level, to push back against these kinds of reckless attacks.
