Today is the final day to register and book hotel rooms for the 2024 CYD Post-Primary Organizing Retreat presented by the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW) and the State Building & Construction Trades Council of California (SBCTC)! The 2024 CYD Post-Primary Organizing Retreat is taking place April 5-7 in Lake Tahoe and registration covers all programming, receptions and Saturday meals. The released tentative agenda includes receptions both Friday and Saturday nights (hosted beer/wine for those 21+), a breakfast with a primary election results recap by data-expert, Vice President of Political Data Inc., Paul Mitchell, a buffet luncheon and labor union panel including the Immediate Past President of NUHW, Sal Rosselli, and the President of the State Building & Construction Trades of CA, Chris Hannan, numerous trainings and workshops, and much more! I am excited to share that Friday night, we will have a Karaoke Party with CYD’s API Caucus and California State Treasurer Fiona Ma! You won’t want to miss this weekend of fun, but today is the last day: register now and book your room!

RETREAT LODGING INFORMATION

A room block has been secured at the Bally’s Lake Tahoe along with significantly discounted rates for participants, but TODAY is the last day to get these rates. Bally’s is going to concentrate all CYD members on a couple of floors.

Rates are $119.00 on Friday, April 5th, and $149.00 on Saturday, April 6th, not inclusive of resort fees and taxes, but negotiated to include parking and up to 4 people per room. Total cost for the weekend for one room with up to 4 people is $377.08 with all taxes and fees. These rates are for Classic 2 Queen Bed or Classic 1 Kind Bed hotel rooms with up-to quad (4) occupancy.

If you book online and select 3 or 4 people in a single room, prices will incorrectly show higher. We can fix this after the fact; however, we suggest booking via phone or only selecting 1 or 2 people if booking online to make sure you pay the proper rate with a total of $377.08.

Book TODAY because these rates expire tomorrow and are at least a $130 in savings compared to booking without CYD’s negotiated rates.

The 2024 CYD Post-Primary Organizing Retreat will be a convening of the CYD Statewide Leadership Committee (SLC) and considering endorsements. The CYD Rules, CYD Political Affairs, and CYD Policy and Legislation Committees will be meeting on Friday, April 5th, and CYD SLC general session will occur on Saturday, April 6th.
