AC Resolutions Deadline
The Rules and Procedures Committee of the Missouri Annual Conference offers a reminder about rules related to resolutions. All resolutions from individuals, congregations, or groups other than councils, teams, committees, or boards of the Missouri Conference must be in the office of the Director of Connectional Ministries before 5:00 p.m. on April 15 to be considered by the approaching session of annual conference. Standing Rules related to this process are found in Rules 201.05-201.25 in the 2023 Standing Rules starting on page 116.
Grant Programs With April 1 Due Date
Whether you’re planning a new place for new people, mission project or other ministry project, there’s a grant for that! Missouri United Methodist Churches can apply for funds through several grant programs supporting local ministry projects. Each program has a different focus and requires a different application. - New Places for New People: The Center for Congregational Excellence is accepting grant applications from now until April 1 from churches that are establishing new places for new people in the six categories of small group, recovery ministry, Fresh Expression, new worship service, collaborative parish, and new church or multi-site. - Cooperative Response Grant: This is the last call for this grant! The spring application window is the final round of grants that will be awarded. Festival of Sharing has funding available to partner with Missouri churches and organizations in their efforts to cooperatively respond to community needs around poverty. - Missouri UM Foundation: The oldest and largest grant program in our Conference, Foundation grants assist a wide variety of ministry projects each year. Learn more and apply at https://mumf.org/churches-organizations/ministry-grants.
