Last week, Donald Trump renewed his call to gut Medicare. As a long-time fighter for Medicare, I have stood up to Trump before when he tried to cut Medicare and Social Security. I am doing everything I can to continue fighting for these programs.

Last week was all about healthcare for me. I attended roundtables, discussions, and meetings all focused on healthcare. One thing is clear: We need to increase our support for healthcare in this country so we can expand access to healthcare for Americans and support the healthcare workforce.

Right now, I’m working in the Energy and Commerce Committee to pass legislation that will expand access to health care, including access to critical preventative services like cancer screening for individuals who are low-income, uninsured, and underinsured who do not qualify for Medicaid.

One of the biggest threats a Trump presidency poses to our country right now is demolishing our healthcare system with his plans to gut programs like Medicare and the Affordable Care Act. I’m not going to let that happen.

I am making sure that voters in Michigan’s 6th District know exactly where Trump and his MAGA extremists stand on their healthcare, but I need your help, Team.
