Friend — today is the GOP presidential primary in Florida.
My opponent, extremist Sen. Rick Scott, is fully backing Donald Trump, saying he would "absolutely" support Trump, even after the disgraced former president has been criminally indicted.
As he and others coalesce around Trump, Republicans are claiming Florida is a "red" state. But they are wrong.
I know and love this state. Floridians want and deserve better leadership — and they aren't afraid to let you know. Whether it's the single mom I've met on the campaign trail in Jacksonville, the first-time voters I've talked with from Orlando, or the proud Cuban-Americans in Miami and beyond, the common thread is this: We are ready for change.
You actually don't even have to hit the campaign trail to know Floridians are demanding change. A new poll shows over half of Floridians think it's time for Rick Scott to go, and polling also shows me statistically tied with Scott.
But last time around, Rick Scott sunk $64 million of his own money into buying this Senate seat — and he's already spent millions on ads attacking me. To truly compete and win, I must keep pace with my $200,000 weekly fundraising goal, and I'm counting on your donation to get me there:
Please, will you rush a grassroots donation of $5, or whatever you can spare, to help me hit my weekly fundraising goal? It's your support that will defeat Rick Scott and protect our Democratic Senate majority!

Thank you so much,
