PPADMV Supporter,

We are one week away from oral arguments in a Supreme Court case that will have the biggest impact on Americans’ reproductive freedom since Roe v. Wade was overturned.

If you’ve been following our channels over the past week, you know that the Supreme Court shouldn’t be involved in this case. Period.

The justices have this power because anti-abortion politicians have for decades maneuvered to pack federal courts with judges who serve life terms and are not accountable to the American people. This strategy is driven by profoundly anti-democratic tactics that have enabled these extremists to subvert the will of the majority of Americans.

If you’re as pissed off about this as we are, join us in the fight to stop activist judges and extremists from having the power to impose their regressive values and beliefs on the residents of DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

Here’s how you can get involved:

1. Join us as we rally for reproductive freedom outside the Supreme Court on March 26.

As oral arguments in the mifepristone case get underway, join reproductive health care champions from across the country to tell the justices loud and clear that we want their bans off OUR bodies. See you outside the Supreme Court at 9 a.m.! Can’t attend in person?

2. Sign our petition to demand court reform NOW.

Let your elected officials know that the days of single-judge divisions exploited by extremists to elevate their cases and a lack of transparency must be over.

3. Marylanders: Stay up to date with the ballot measure to codify abortion access in the Maryland Constitution.

In November, Maryland voters will decide whether to amend the state constitution to guarantee pregnant people’s right to decide whether to prevent, continue, or end their own pregnancy. This is the strongest possible state-level protection of reproductive freedom. Learn about the ballot measure: [link removed]

4. If you live in DC (and even if you don’t), advocate for DC statehood.

Did you know that Congress actively prevents DC from spending the Medicaid dollars you fund through your tax dollars on abortion care? Did you know that without statehood there’s little to nothing you can do about that? Learn more about the intersection between DC statehood and reproductive justice: [link removed]

5. Virginians: Vote for candidates who will keep abortion bans off the governor’s desk.

Governor Glenn Youngkin is an anti-abortion extremist who will seize any opportunity to stomp on women and pregnant people’s reproductive freedom. The Virginia General Assembly is the final xxxxxx keeping abortion bans from getting to his desk. Register to vote so you can help keep reproductive freedom champions in power.
