Breaking news: A new, independent poll shows that the Senate race in Michigan is a statistical dead-heat. While some may think Michigan is solidly blue, this poll shows we need to be doing everything we can right now to set us up for success on Election Day.

Today, I wanted to pull back the curtain and explain what else was in this poll, and what it means for our campaign.

Before I dive in, I would love it if you would consider chipping in $3 or more to help us defend this open Senate seat in Michigan. In light of this poll, we need to show grassroots strength as national Republicans size up our ability to win.

There are a few important numbers in this poll that tell us a lot about how we need to continue running our campaign: Despite this race being a statistical tie, 23% of voters are undecided. Those are the people who will decide our election – and who we need to take our message to.

Another key statistic from this poll: 51% of voters say they haven’t heard of me yet. We’ve been doing everything we can to take our message directly to voters early by visiting cities and towns all over Michigan and meeting with folks to talk about the issues that matter to them. But this poll reminds us how big the state of Michigan is (11 media markets!) and makes it clear just how critical that initial introduction is.

This poll also shows that the presidential election will likely be decided in Michigan, and right now former President Trump is leading President Biden 45-41. National Republicans view Michigan as a key battleground state for both the presidential race and the Senate, which is why we’ve already seen three visits from Trump, and why we can expect to see even more.

In a race this tight, every dollar truly makes the difference, which is why I am asking: Will you donate any amount now to help build our war chest and set our campaign up for success in this race?
