This is a difficult time for our nation and our world. Educators and families face unique challenges between navigating remote learning, working from home and not much time, if any, for planning.
We want to help.
Every Tuesday, you will receive “Connect 3: Resources for Students, Teachers and Families.” Connect 3 includes one online resource each for students, teachers and families/communities. 3 Resources, 3 Audiences.
This week Connect 3 focuses on COVID-19 and how its impact overlaps with issues of bias and inequity.
1: Students
Reflect on the increased bias against Asian-Americans amid the Coronavirus pandemic with these activities for middle and high school students. We have a student-facing version on Sutori, a collaborative online tool for students learning from home.
Use Draw Me Safe coloring pages and guiding questions to engage in conversations with young people and others about how we can stay safe and healthy during this crisis.
We know everyone is busy. But if you have a moment to give us feedback and ideas for resources that would be helpful, we would love to hear from you.
