As a recovering Computer Science major, I've long sought to better understand artificial intelligence (AI) and ensure that America continues to be a leader in this new technology. I'm pleased to announce that I was recently appointed as the Democratic Co-Chair of the new bipartisan House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence.

AI can change our lives as we know it. I'm ready to work alongside my colleagues on this task force to ensure that we use this technology to benefit society not harm it. You can read more about the task force in the Washington Post >>

I've always said that Congress has an essential role to play in the future of AI. As we take this step forward, I will continue fighting to ensure our country is at the forefront in this pivotal moment of technological innovation.
