Postponed: Drilling near Capitol Lake finishes up next week
Drilling begins November 2023
What's happening: The drilling along Deschutes Parkway previously scheduled for Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22 has been postponed. DES will send an update when work resumes.
Why: As part of the Deschutes Estuary Restoration Project, DES is conducting fieldwork to provide information on the makeup of the ground surrounding Capitol Lake. This information will support initial phases of bridge, roadway, and boardwalk development.
All work is weather dependent. The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services has contracted with FLOYD | SNIDER of Seattle, Washington for this effort.
