John,
For months now, WFP champions in Congress have been bracing for a massive wave of outside spending to flood their races — and in Rep. Summer Lee’s district, it’s finally arrived.
GOP megadonor Jeffrey Yass’ Moderate PAC has just debuted a $270K ad buy targeting Summer and backing her right-wing challenger.1
This is the first outside spend in Summer’s district, and it’s no surprise that Yass is behind it. In 2022, he was the fourth-largest Republican donor and a key benefactor to groups that spent millions attacking Summer and other progressives in the midterm elections.2
Now, despite suffering a humiliating defeat after Summer overcame $10 million in attack ads last cycle — he’s back again to try and defeat her.
Already, Yass has become the biggest donor in the 2024 election cycle, with $46.4 million spent so far3, and is also rumored to be Trump’s leading choice for Treasury Secretary if he wins in the presidential election4, single-handedly making him one of the biggest individual threats to our movement this year.
Can you rush a contribution of any amount to show Summer we have her back? Your contribution will be split evenly between Summer's campaign and WFP to counteract these attacks and reach as many voters as possible across her district ahead of the April primary.

Billionaire bosses like Jeffrey Yass are gunning for WFP champions like Summer because they’re scared of the power of our movement.
That’s why they try and attack us by spreading the myth that our agenda for working people is somehow unpopular — when in reality, it’s theirs.
Yass’ biggest priorities have been defunding public education, banning abortion, cutting taxes for the wealthiest billionaires in our country, and electing MAGA extremists to do his bidding — all efforts that have been overwhelmingly rejected by voters at the polls, time and again.
Meanwhile, Summer is seeking re-election to Congress because she wants to defend our abortion rights and reproductive freedom, continue delivering investments to our public education, and because she wants to pass the OLIGARCH Act to tax extreme wealth, reduce inequality, and invest that money back into our communities.
Now, is it any wonder that Yass — who’s avoided more than $1 billion in taxes over the last six years5 and is on the short list of nominees to run Treasury in a second Trump administration — is pouring millions to defeat champions for working people like Summer and prop up extremist MAGA Republicans in 2024? Absolutely not.
We can’t let super PACs and the right-wing billionaires who fund them succeed in their plan to decimate the ranks of progressives in Congress and put MAGA Republicans in control of all levers of government.
We have to get to work now to win critical Democratic primary elections like Summer Lee’s in PA-12 that start in just a few weeks.
Republican billionaires with bottomless pits of money want to unseat WFP champions nationwide, but we know we can stop them if our side has the resources to fight back.
Rush a contribution of any amount to Summer Lee’s campaign and WFP now to help us to fuel the organizing we’ll need to win and keep a champion for working people in Congress.
