John,

Hi, it’s Brianna Carmen, Political Director with Emerge. At Emerge, we’re building a woman-led America by recruiting, training, and electing women to office at all levels of government – from school board to Congress.

This Super Tuesday, Emerge women were on the ballot across the country, and I wanted to use the opportunity to share some of their stories with you, but first, will you contribute $5 or more today to help us keep up our momentum?

➡️ In California, Emerge alum Lateefah Simon who has served on the Bay Area Rapid Transit Board since 2016, won her primary for Congress in district 3. Born legally blind, Lateefah relies solely on public transportation to go about her day. She has worked hard to make BART more affordable for working families and transit-dependent people like herself.

➡️ In Texas, Emerge alum, entrepreneur, nonprofit founder, and law school graduate Averie Bishop ran for Texas State House district 112 in the Dallas suburbs. Averie is the daughter of a fifth generation Texan father and a Filipino immigrant mother. Both of her parents worked two jobs each to provide for her family. Averie is also a former Miss Texas. Now, she is running for the legislature, fighting for socio-economic prosperity, safe public schools, and accessible healthcare for all.

➡️ In Arkansas, Emerge and Seated Together alum State Rep. Denise Ennett won her primary for re-election in District 80. Denise is a mom, a public education advocate, and a community activist. As a member of the Arkansas State House, Denise has fought for public education, expanded access to affordable healthcare, and supported the growth of the district’s neighborhoods and economic opportunities.

Through our state-based and national programs that show women how to run for office and win, we have trained more than 6,000 women to date, and we currently have over 1,200 alums in elected office. We’re excited to watch races like these as we continue to empower more bold Democratic women to run for office.

But we can’t do this work without your support. Will you contribute $5 or more to ensure we have the resources to recruit, train, and empower more Democratic women to run for every level of government?

P.S. Our applications ([link removed]) for our national boot camp taking place in June are now open! We need to raise $30,000 to train our next summer cohort of boot camp participants. Can you contribute $5 today? ([link removed])

Emerge is changing the face of politics to create an inclusive democracy. We are the nation's premier organization that recruits, trains, and provides a powerful network to Democratic women who want to run for office. Will you make a monthly recurring contribution to support our efforts today?
