Dear John,

Last week, we alerted you on our podcast to the dangers of two bills currently moving through the Minnesota Legislature, both of which affect private insurance plans. Both bills will be heard again in committee THIS Wednesday.

HF2607/SF2209 would require that private health insurance plans offer coverage for so-called "gender-affirming care." Let's be clear: "gender-affirming care" is a harmful and deeply controversial practice that has NO global scientific or medical consensus. Forcing insurers to cover it is an ideological move.

Perhaps even more troubling, HF4053/SF3967 would mandate that abortion would be covered by private health insurance plans. This is horrifying - abortion is not health care, and it does not treat a medical condition. It is the intentional taking of a human life inside a mother's womb.

Please join with us in asking your legislators to VOTE NO on these dangerous bills, which would force all Minnesota health insurance plans to cover these harmful and barbaric procedures.

Tell my Legislators: Vote NO on Gender and Abortion Mandates

We've been fighting these bills since they were first considered by the Legislature. To hear more, you can watch my testimony against SF2209 and Renee Carlson of True North Legal testifying on SF3967 on March 8, 2024.
