Friend, The more things change, the more they stay the same. When Donald Trump was President, he told CNBC that he was open to cutting Social Security. Throughout his administration, he made good on that promise by repeatedly proposing massive cuts to both Social Security and Medicare in his budget. Democrats and Joe Biden stopped him, but Trump is the Republican nominee again, and just last week, he renewed his threat to cut the programs if he wins. Friend, like you, I believe Social Security and Medicare are sacred promises to our seniors and retirees. After a lifetime of hard work, the last thing they need is to worry about how they will pay their bills or get the medical care they need. For decades, Republicans have pushed privatization, raising the minimum eligibility age and even ending Social Security and Medicare altogether. President Biden and Democrats have stopped them every step of the way, but only because we had you in our corner. With so much on the line in 2024, I’m grateful that you will be in our corner once again. In gratitude, Debbie ![]()
