Looking out for each other at this uncertain time.
Pro Life Campaign launches Outreach initiative
Dear Friend,
These are difficult times for everyone as we try to come to terms with the outbreak of Covid-19.
It’s a time when we can feel helpless but we also know there’s lots we can do to help those most in need, particularly the older members of our community – those feeling alone and isolated who could really do with our help.
Given the limitations to the work that can be done in terms of activities and events, we are launching a number of projects in the coming days that we invite you to be part of. Today we want to tell you about the first of those - an Outreach project. Â
Many members of our movement are no doubt feeling anxious and, in some cases, alone and isolated during Covid-19.Â
As lifelong supporters of the pro-life cause, they deserve our solidarity and support at this most difficult time.
Given that we have a means to stay in touch with them (by phone), there is no better use of our time right now than to be there for them in whatever way we can.
It can’t be said often enough that we’re all in this public health crisis together and need to be there for one another.
We are assembling a team of volunteers who are committed to dedicating some of their time to reach out to members of our movement who are feeling vulnerable and would appreciate a phone call, in case they need assistance of some kind or simply someone to talk to.Â
Would you like to be part of a volunteer team to ring other members of the movement and offer support? Sign up today and we will be in touch with further details.Â
Take a moment to watch the short message below from one of our volunteers, CrĂostĂona.
There are lots of other important and worthy initiatives we could undertake at this time and will develop but for today, we are urging supporters to reach out to those most vulnerable among our number.Â
Thank you for your ongoing support. Keep safe in the days and weeks ahead.
