Friend,
On April
16, we will begin the challenging process of collecting well over
45,000 valid signatures from New York registered voters to place my
name on the November 5 ballot.
The State
of New York has some treacherous rules that you need to
know.
DO NOT SIGN ANY NOMINATING PETITION FOR
ANY U.S. SENATE CANDIDATE, if you wish to petition or sign for me,
including primary election
nominating petitions.
If you
sign a petition for any candidate for U.S. Senate, or a party line which includes a U.S. Senate
candidate, and then sign my petition, your
signature could be invalidated, and even worse, you will no longer be
eligible to collect signatures for my campaign, and any signatures you
collect will be invalidated. Specifically, the following individuals
are running for U.S. Senate in the Republican Primary. There may be
others, although I'm not familiar with them, or there may be
Democratic Primary challengers to Gillibrand. The rule applies to any
and all candidates running for U.S. Senate.
–
Mike Sapraicone, US Senate – Josh Eisen, US
Senate – Cara Castronuova, US
Senate – Derrick Gibson, US Senate
---Or any candidate running in any party
primary for U.S. Senate
If
you have already signed a nominating petition for any of these
individuals, you are ineligible to gather signatures for me. That is
not my opinion, it is unfortunately New York State election
law.
If
you would like to volunteer to petition to place my name on the
ballot, or provide housing, please fill out the calendar by clicking
the box below.
Please call Suzanne at 646-328-1932 if you have any
questions. If you'd like to donate funds to help make this all happen,
every donation counts!
