Our venue has briefly extended the time to register ([link removed]) and book hotel rooms ([link removed]) for the 2024 CYD Post-Primary Organizing Retreat presented by the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW) in Lake Tahoe happening April 5 - 7! After Tuesday, CYD’s discounted room rates at Bally’s will expire. Please see below the image for more details about the room block for Retreat.

The 2024 CYD Post-Primary Organizing Retreat ([link removed]) presented by the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW) is taking place April 5-7 in Lake Tahoe and registration covers all programming, receptions and Saturday meals. The released tentative agenda ([link removed]) includes receptions both Friday and Saturday nights (hosted beer/wine for those 21+), a breakfast with a primary election results recap by data-expert, Vice President of Political Data Inc., Paul Mitchell, a buffet luncheon and labor union panel including the Immediate Past President of NUHW, Sal Rosselli, and the President of the State Building & Construction Trades of CA, Chris Hannan, numerous trainings and workshops, and much more! RETREAT LODGING INFORMATION

A room block has been secured at the Bally’s Lake Tahoe along with significantly discounted rates for participants. Bally’s is going to concentrate all CYD members on a couple of floors.

Rates are $119.00 on Friday, April 5th, and $149.00 on Saturday, April 6th, not inclusive of resort fees and taxes, but negotiated to include parking and up to 4 people per room. Total cost for the weekend for one room with up to 4 people is $377.08 with all taxes and fees. These rates are for Classic 2 Queen Bed or Classic 1 Kind Bed hotel rooms with up-to quad (4) occupancy.

Book your rooms by calling Bally’s reservations department at: (775) 588-3515 ext. 3015 and provide the group code “STCY24” or the group name California Young Democrats.

Or book your room online, but if you have 3 or 4 individuals in the room only select 2 because there is a bug with their reservations site, at: [link removed] ([link removed])

If you book online and select 3 or 4 people in a single room, prices will incorrectly show higher. We can fix this after the fact; however, we suggest booking via phone or only selecting 1 or 2 people if booking online to make sure you pay the proper rate with a total of $377.08.

Book no later than Tuesday, March 19th ([link removed]) because these negotiated rates expire, and are at least a $130 in savings.

NOTICE: CALIFORNIA YOUNG DEMOCRATS STATEWIDE LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING AND POTENTIAL ENDORSEMENTS
The 2024 CYD Post-Primary Organizing Retreat will be a convening of the CYD Statewide Leadership Committee (SLC) and considering endorsements. The CYD Rules, CYD Political Affairs, and CYD Policy and Legislation Committees will be meeting on Friday, April 5th, and CYD SLC general session will occur on Saturday, April 6th.
