Happy Monday John,
Back in December, we wrote that 2024 would be the year of abortion rights - and it is. From the national stage to here at home, abortion rights are leading the conversation and getting out the vote. That momentum is very much alive in the Kansas Statehouse, where huge public outcry is following attempts to meddle in our personal decisions.
This week, the Senate will have a hearing about the intrusive bill [[link removed]] that requires people to share the reasons they’re having an abortion with the government. This bill is bad policy and deeply unpopular [[link removed]] . Kansans are and have always been perfectly capable of making our own decisions without interference from politicians, particularly when it comes to when and whether to grow a family.
Who should weigh in-you, your doctor, and your family, or politicians? [[link removed]]
If you’d like to follow along with the hearing this week, click on this link [[link removed]] tomorrow , Tuesday the 19th, at 8:30am. Too early or too busy? You can catch up when the hearing’s uploaded on YouTube afterward [[link removed]] .
As always, below are the bills we’re watching that restrict access to abortion or ban it entirely. Thank you for being with us in this fight,
Kansans for Constitutional Freedom
