Dear Friend,

This Spring, I urge you to make NCLEJ a priority in your charitable contributions. The End-of-Quarter on March 31 is our first major fundraising deadline of the year, and it’s critical that we raise $15,000 to stay on track towards our fundraising goals for 2024.

Any amount, whether large or small, will go a long way towards supporting the work of our organization. ([link removed])

Every day, the lawyers of NCLEJ fight to advance racial, economic, and disability justice through our high-impact litigation work.

Here are a few highlights of how we’ve made an impact in recent months:
* In Michigan, we secured a settlement that will, pending approval, bring more than $110 million in additional state spending to Michiganders with intellectual and developmental disabilities who rely on Medicaid Living Support services.
* In Alaska, our litigation forced the State to make substantial progress towards addressing its ongoing SNAP delays, including halving its 10,000 person SNAP backlog within six months of our interim settlement.
* In New York City, we achieved a major class action settlement with the New York City Transit Authority to significantly enhance fairness and due process for thousands of low-income New Yorkers who are disproportionately targeted for transit infractions.

The work we do is critical – and it requires serious commitment and funding over the long term. We rely on the generosity of people like you to keep our work going.
