It's Transit Worker Appreciation Day! To support workers and riders, we're calling for better scheduling at PRT.
Poor schedules steal time from transit riders and workers. When the schedules don't work, it means that workers lose out on breaks. And it means that riders lose out on frequency and reliability.

NEW REPORT: "GOOD TRANSIT REQUIRES WELL PAID UNION WORKERS". Data shows that PRT workers start at 33% below the average Allegheny County household income (that's worse than Cleveland!)
The new report released by Labor Network for Sustainability and the National Campaign for Transit Justice for Transit Worker Appreciation Day shows average incomes for transit workers at 50 agencies across the US compared to the Annual Median Income for that region. The data shows that the starting wage of a PRT worker is 33% below the average wage of an Allegheny County household. A better transit system requires better wages for workers. |
