We need to move fast, John,

Right now far-right House Republicans are readying their anti-climate agenda in an attempt to overturn the historic climate and clean energy progress we've made the past few years.

The U.S. is already on track to provide clean, affordable energy nationwide but now Republican leadership in the House of Representatives wants to reverse that, repealing programs that cut climate pollution and create clean energy jobs for Americans across the country.

This radical agenda is a clear threat to climate progress and we cannot let it stand. That’s why we need advocates like you to raise your voice and urge your Representative to stand against the Republican “Wasted Energy Week.”

The vote is happening this week so we need to move fast. Will you take action now and defend climate progress? Send a message to your Representative today!

When the House comes into session this week, it will vote to repeal critical initiatives like the Methane Emissions Reduction Program (MERP), which fights climate and air pollution from the oil and gas sector. Repealing this critical program would remove essential incentives to find and fix methane leaks and hold our biggest polluters accountable.

The plan would also eliminate the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, an important program that mobilizes public and private funding in support of projects that reduce harmful emissions, promote economic competitiveness, and energy independence.

House Republicans are claiming this plan is an attempt to, “promote American energy, [and] lower costs for families…” But here’s the thing: The investments we’ve made deploying clean energy are already doing that — and more!

Don’t let far-right Republicans slow climate action! Tell your elected officials to take action by standing against this assault on climate and clean energy today!

Sincerely,
