Tell me, do these Republican Representatives share New Yorkers’ values?
In NY-1, Representative Nick LaLota is anti-choice and believes abortion should be on the ballot in New York so our state can overturn our “radical” abortion policies.
In NY-4, Representative Anthony D’Esposito refuses to back the Assault Weapons Ban and thinks only illegal gun owners use them for crime. "The focus needs to be on those who are carrying illegal firearms and not creating laws that limit those who are carrying them legally.” In reality, over 70% of mass shootings take place with legally purchased guns.
In NY-17, Representative Mike Lawler ran his 2022 race working to separate himself from former President Trump and the most extreme members of the Republican Party. Now, he’s voted with his party over 80% of the time, supported MAGA Mike Johnson for Speaker of the House, has welcomed him to NY-17 countless times for fundraisers, and has endorsed Donald Trump in his re-election bid.
NY-19’s Marc Molinaro and NY-22’s Brandon Williams aren’t any different.
